Senior Pet Care

How old is your pet?  This depends upon how much your pet weighs. Would it surprise you that a Great Dane at 6 years old is older than a 6 year old Chihuahua? Well, it’s true. The size and breed of your dog will have a lot to do with his life expectancy, but in general all dogs are considered a senior at age seven. Due to advancements in medical care, dogs and cats are living longer than they ever did before.

As your pet ages, there are a variety of conditions and diseases that they can face and your pet’s veterinary medical needs change. Wellness examinations, blood work, and dietary counseling all are important steps you can take toward keeping your senior pet healthy and happy. Our senior wellness exams are specially designed for your older pet's good health.
